The Cee'd is available in both hatchback and station wagon body styles. Under the hood, the 2011 Kia Cee'd offers a range of engine options, including petrol and diesel variants. The petrol engine options include a 1.4-liter and a 1.6-liter engine, while the diesel options include a 1.6-liter and a 2.0-liter engine.
Kia quoted figures for 89hp 1.4 says 0-62 in 12.5 sec 1.6 CRDI 89hp 13.5 sec Top speed 1.4 112 mph 1.6CRDI 107 mph However, the diesel has around 70% more torque and its produced far lower down the rev range so it will feel quicker unless youre in a 10/10th drag race but it does NOT have superior performance.

Hi all I am a newbie and hopefully looking to get an answer to my problem. I have a 07 plate kia ceed crdi. Recently the engine management light has been coming on and losing power in each gear at approx 2500 revs. More recently the car has still been losing power and cutting out whilst driving
Find the location of the MAF sensor in your Ceed, unplug the electrical connectors, and remove the sensor from the housing. Spray at least 10 spurts of MAF cleaner onto the sensor and then let it air dry for an hour or until completely dry. Do not use cloth or cotton swabs to clean the sensor, as it can damage it.
Problem: The turbo on the Ceed is known for failing. Some common symptoms of a failing turbo are: blue/black smoke coming from the exhaust, whistling noise from the top of the engine and/or a loss of power. Have a look at the video below:
