Igot a 6.2 in a 2022 Trail Boss recently as I will say the engine is a blast. But if you dont need it or dont care about hard accelerations the 5.3 will probably be a better option. Also consider fuel. The 5.3 is rated for regular gas, but I think the 6.2 is rated for premium. Hopefully someone else can confirm.

The6.2 is the best performing half-ton truck engine on the market - hands down. It's used in the current corvette platform, but optimized for pickup truck usage (forget the technical differences). Gas mileage is comparable, but 6.2 recommends a higher octane gas than 5.7 Hemi.
Accordingto the EPA assuming 15,000 miles per year. The 5.3L 4x4 Silverado will cost $3,000 per year. The 6.2L 4x4 will cost $4,100. There's NO reason a 6.2L should get better mileage with equal configurations. The 5.3L is rated for 2mpg better highway and costs less per fill with reg gas. southboundoft. β’ 3 mo. ago.
